Where Matter Becomes Meaning

A home is not assembled. It is distilled from the lives, values, and inheritance of those who will inhabit it. At RWBH Architects, we practice a form of architecture that begins with listening and continues across generations. We create architectural legacies for families who understand that a home, built with absolute intentionality, is one of the most enduring things a person can create.

BEGIN A DIALOGUE

VISION, ROOTED

There is a kind of architect who plans buildings. And there is a rarer kind who curates lives.

Rahel Wahnon Ben Haim belongs to the second. Born and raised in Jerusalem within an Orthodox Jewish family, she brings to every commission something no academic training alone can confer: an understanding, from within, of what it means to build a home that honors both beauty and belief. Her authority is at once deeply personal and rigorously formed - the authority of someone who lives within the culture she is called upon to manifest.
As founder and creative director of RWBH Architects, Rahel leads the full arc of each project: from the first structural vision through to the precise selection of a door handle, a stone finish, a hanging. She moves across typologies - private residences, multi-unit complexes, landmark community developments - but her methodology remains constant. Before a single line is drawn, she listens. She believes each client is a world to be understood: their cultural codes, their family rhythms, their aesthetic memory, and the aspirations they may not yet have words for.
The result is architecture that does not impose but reveals. Spaces that feel, upon first encounter, as though they could not have taken any other form.
Her signature is the tension between discipline and warmth - between rigorous proportion, elevated materials, an unwavering attention to how life flows through a space, and the deep human instinct for rest, beauty, and shelter. Stone and cedar, marble and light, structure and ease: in Rahel's hands, these are not stylistic choices. They are virtuous ones.
RWBH Architects works with a selective number of clients each year. Every engagement is personal. Every project is intended to last.

FIELDS OF CREATION

Total Architecture

Complete creative stewardship, from structural vision to final detail

Every RWBH commission is led by Rahel from beginning to end, across every scale. Architectural planning, interior spatial design, material selection, custom furnishing, artwork placement, and the thousand smaller decisions that determine whether a home feels merely well-designed or truly inhabited - all emerge from a single, coherent vision. Nothing is incidental.
This is architecture understood as a total act of curation.

Fine Art Curation

Integrating significant works of art into the fabric of the home

A home of genuine depth is not a neutral background for art. It is in dialogue with it. RWBH works with families to identify and place works - paintings, sculpture, photography, textile - that are in true conversation with the architecture, the light, and the lives of those who live among them. We draw on longstanding relationships within the contemporary art world and a deep knowledge of works that carry lasting cultural significance.

Hiddur Mitzvah - The Collection

Judaica objects and architectural elements in limited production

The principle of hiddur mitzvah - beautifying the sacred commandments through divine material expression - has informed Jewish artistic life for centuries. RWBH offers a small, considered collection of Judaica objects and architectural elements - mezuzot, sculptural wash basins, and more - each conceived as the meeting point of high craft and deep tradition. Produced in limited quantities, each piece is made to become part of a home's inheritance.
